My installations and videos function as a performative interface between public declaration and internal dialogue, mapping out subjective, personal spaces permeated with anxieties and desires. Rummaging through everyday encounters and frustrations with the limitations of cultural and social identification and agencies of communication, I present seemingly intimate moments refracted and translated through the shifting expectations and codes of public space. I deconstruct dreams, diaries, overheard conversations, past and imagined interactions. Sometimes by hand and sometimes by computer software, I construct a system in which multiple cultural identities intertwine and twist with notions of multiplicity, fiction and nonfiction.
