The Art of Archiving - Documenting your Art Career A.I.R. Gallery Hosts The Art of Archiving-Documenting Your Art Career Tuesday, February 9th, 6 - 8pm Brooklyn, NY, January 1, 2010 – A.I.R. Gallery is pleased to present The Art of Archiving- Documenting Your Art Career a presentation by Marcia Bassett & Astrid Cravens, Archivists at Barnard College, NY, to be held at A.I.R. Gallery. The event will be an introduction to archiving for artists, outlining materials that should be saved and how and where they should be stored. The presenters will discuss the advantages of keeping paper vs. digital files as well as systems for the retrieval and saving of images. The program will conclude with questions from attendees that are relevant to their own work. The event will have a tutorial discussion atmosphere and participants should register to reserve a seat by contacting Simone Meltsen at info@airgallery.org by Friday, Jan. 29. The presentation will be held in conjunction with the exhibitions of new work by A.I.R. Gallery artists Daria Dorosh and Nancy Storrow and Fellowship artist Suzanne Broughel.
