Fragmente Judith Uehling

January 26 - February 13, 1999

Judith Uehling’s work addresses European places and architectural structures, mostly in Berlin and Paris, that have abiding historical significance. She uses two different through interrelated, approaches: nearly monochrome paintings with “hidden” photographic images, and castings of various moldings, doors, and shutters. She refers to this collective body of work as- “Fragmente”- the German word for fragment.
