Sculpture and Drawings
Lynda Ray

June 5 – 23, 1990

A.I.R. Gallery presents the first solo exhibition in New York of sculpture and drawings of Lynda Ray as part of A.I.R.’s Emerging Women Artist’s Program. Ray uses wood, metal, and found materials in her environment to construct her pieces. Her work evolves from the mixture of architectural relationships to space as well as organic models of growth and transformation. Curiosity about this anthropomorphic, totemic, architectural shape and its relationship to its environment is investigates in these sculptures.
