ARTIST'S BIO
Jee Hwang received her BFA at Salisbury University in Maryland and her MFA at the Pratt Institute in New York. She has been engaged in many nonprofit organizations, working as an intern at the A.I.R. Gallery, New York and at the New York Foundation for the Arts, assisting with their public programs. Jee was awarded the 2009-2010 A.I.R Fellowship and Emma Bee Bernstein award at A.I.R. Gallery and received a partial scholarship to the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT in 2010. Jee's work has been shown in many group as well as solo exhibitions in New York including Porter Contemporary Gallery where she represent her works. Now she lives and works in New Jersey as director and instructor at Oogie art Tenafly.
