ARTIST'S BIO
Sarah Blackwelder is a NYC artist currently living, working and teaching in Amsterdam. She has been working on developing two separate series – one exploring the subjectivity of children’s toys, the other, the vulnerability of homes. Sarah was awarded a fellowship at A.I.R. Gallery in 2005, where she had first Solo show in June, 2006 and a subsequent Solo Show in November 2009. Since her relocation in 2010, Sarah has founded “Creating Artists” which offers art lessons to all ages  and is co-founder of Studio 30a a creative workshop and gallery space in Amsterdam. In addition to A.I.R., Sarah has exhibited in various galleries in and around New York City and Amsterdam.
