ARTIST'S BIO
Sheila Manion Artz makes art as visual markings of her process, journey and transformations. She has exhibited locally and internationally, in Europe and Asia. She received her MFA, in graphics from The City College of New York, her BFA, in sculpture from Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn. Sheila has lectured to artists’ in India, Korea and in the US. Sheila has taught both adults and kids to get messy, creative and tell their story. She currently works artistically with chronically mentally ill adults in Chelsea. She has a creative studio in Long Island City and lives with her husband, Manhee and son, Baye. Her vision is to teach and create art that can heal and empower.
